Travel Assistance + Medical Resources
INTRODUCTION
If you are travelling on WBD business to another country, there are several services and plans in place to support you and ensure your safety and wellbeing during your trip.
- Support whilst you’re travelling through Crisis24 Horizon app. This is your go-to resource whilst you are travelling. The app provides the following 24/7:
- Security Alerts - for your location
- Medical Assistance – contact information for International SOS
- Security Assistance – send security notifications and chat
- Security Check In - let WBD Security know where you are
- Helping you prepare for your trip with International SOS. They provide travel and planning assistance services for both medical and security, including information on visas, vaccination requirements and security tips. They also help organise medical assistance and treatment whilst you are travelling (accessible via the Crisis24 Horizon app).
- Business Travel Accident and Medical insurance through Chubb. This insurance is for emergent, non-routine issues whilst travelling for business. It is therefore important to take care of any routine doctor visits before leaving for your trip as this insurance will not cover them.

ESSENTIAL ACTIONS TO TAKE:

ADVISED ACTIONS TO TAKE
The following are advised to help ensure a smooth trip.
- Check the Travel Safety Tips from the Global Security Team.
- Review the business travel insurance policy so you are clear on what is covered.
- Read through how to claim if you need assistance whilst travelling.
- Download the International SOS (ISOS) app and complete the Digital Learning prior to departure if you are travelling to a country for the first time.
- HOW TO CLAIM
-
If medical assistance is needed, contact International SOS (via Crisis24 Horizon app) as soon as possible for assistance in getting appropriate medical services. Please note, if you are experiencing a medical emergency, please seek immediate medical assistance and contact International SOS (via Crisis24 Horizon app) after you are stable.
For medical claims
Steps to take before medical treatment. Act immediately to see if a guarantee of payment can be arranged. This avoids you paying for treatment yourself and having to put a reimbursement claim in later. If you require urgent medical care, seek an ambulance and hospital treatment first and then follow these steps.
- Open Crisis24 Horizon App: Tap "Call Medical Assistance".
- Get referred for treatment: You’ll be directed to International SOS who will organize this for you.
- Receive confirmation of funding: For non-emergencies, contact International SOS to see if a guarantee of payment can be arranged. This avoids you paying for treatment yourself and having to put a reimbursement claim in later there may be occasions where you need to pay and claim reimbursement later (see below).
How to submit a reimbursement claim
If you did not call International SOS prior to treatment, or paid the bill directly, you will need to claim reimbursement directly with the insurer, Chubb. This is also the process for non-medical claims (subject to eligibility).
1. Visit the Chubb claims website
2. Select your home country (always select ‘United Kingdom’ unless you are travelling from the following countries: Brazil, Canada, China, India, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland, United States).
